LKS Labs was formed in May 2003 to generate Intellectual Property (IP) for Asia Radio 2000 Pte Ltd. Its director, George Loo, worked for the R&D departments of several MNCs, including Apple Computer and Maxtor. His last R&D lab was the Institute for Infocomm Research. After over 10 years in R&D, he decided it was time to start his own laboratory. The name LKS is to honour the late founder of Asia Radio, Loo Kong San Francis.
